Sizing
We make our Mini Braces, Mini Belts, Midi Belts and Maxi Belts in the following standard sizes.
However, as all waistbands are different, and the distance between belt loops varies, if you are unsure
of the size you need, please don't hesitate to contact me and I will do my very best to help.
Our sizing guide is as follows:
Mini Braces
One Size - approx ages 6 - 36 months
(up to 10 years for skirts)
Mini Belts
One Size - approx ages 6 months - 6 years
Midi Belts
Size One - approx ages 1 - 4 years
Size Two - approx ages 5 - 8 years
Size Three - approx ages 9 - 12 years
Maxi Belts
Size One - approx ages 6 - 9 years
Size Two - approx ages 9 - 12 years
Fitting
How do you fit the Mini Braces?
The easiest way to fit the Mini Braces is to get a really good fold of material into the clip to give it the best grip. I've found it much easier to put the Mini Braces on before my children are actually wearing the garment to get the best hold.
Mini Braces will clip onto almost anything but with thicker material, the grip may not be as tight. As a work around, you may be able to clip it onto the material just under the waistband depending on the fabric and as long as it was comfortable for your little one.
Mini Braces come in one size are recommended for approximate ages 6 months to 3 years for trousers and up to approximately age 10 years for skirts and should fit most childrens waistbands.
How do you fit the Mini Belts?
The easiest way to fit the Mini Belts is to loop them around the belt loops at the back of the waistband as per the pics and snap fasten in place for comfort and to hold the garment in place.
Mini Belts come in one size and are recommended for approximate ages 6 months to 6 years. They can be adjusted to fit with snap fasteners and will fit most childrens waistbands.
How do you fit the Midi Belts?
The easiest way to fit the Midi Belts is to feed it through the belt loops at the back of the trousers first. Next, continue to feed the belt through the rest of the loops towards the front belt loops, then fold it over the top, then under, then back on itself as per the pics below. Then snap fasten for comfort and to hold the garment in place.
Midi Belts come in three sizes and are recommended for approximate ages 1 - 12 years. They have snap fasteners all the way round to make it fully adjustable and will fit most childrens waistbands.
How do you fit the Maxi Belts?
To fit the Maxi Belt, feed the buckle through the belt loops all the way around the waistband, clip the buckle together at the front, then adjust the snap fasteners to find the best fit.
Maxi Belts can be fastened/unfastened with the buckle but if your child doesn't want to or can't use the buckle, the Maxi Belt can be pulled up/down without actually having to fasten/unfasten the buckle as the elastic can stretch and contract, holding the garment in place.
Maxi Belts come in two sizes and are recommended for approximate ages 6 - 12 years. There a number of snap fasteners to choose from to find the best fit and will fit most childrens waistbands.
