Hi, I'm Suzy the designer, creator & maker behind Kids Belt Club.

My handmade business started as a hobby and during this time I have created a range of stylish handmade belts that provide easy to use alternatives to traditional style belts for children.  

It all began when I struggled to find a suitable solution to my toddler boys oversized waistbands.  My twin boys were average in size but I found most of their waistbands were too big.  This meant that their trousers frequently needed to be pulled up and I soon realised this problem was only going to get worse when they stopped wearing nappies. 

I needed a solution but was unable to find one online or on the high street, so I decided to make my own.  I initially borrowed a sewing machine and made some prototypes and eventually after a few attempts, I had designed & created my first product, Mini Braces.  The Mini Braces worked a treat to keep my boys trousers in place by clipping onto the back of their waistbands and pulling in that gap. 

As my boys have grown, my range has grown too to suit their growing needs and I'm very proud to now have four products that provide child friendly and easy to use alternatives to traditional belts: Mini Braces, Mini Belts, Midi Belts & Maxi Belts.

Over the years my boys have been lucky to have benefited from hand me downs from friends and family members and had it not been for my belts, they would not have been able to wear much of what they were given as they would’ve been too big around the waist. 

I love that my belts can prolong the life of the garments as you can buy them a little big and easily let them grow into them using one of my belts to keep the waistband at the correct size even though the length might be too long.

Throughout my business journey, I'm fortunate to have had many proud moments and have highlighted a few here on my website.  I must admit though, I have a proud moment every time an enquiry or order comes in!
